It can be useful to teach numbers as well as animals. As a kind of introduction, the teacher can present the title of the nursery rhyme to the students and make them guess what it is about or if they have ever heard it. Then, the pupils watch the video once in order to check their predictions. After that, students can practise numbers increasing the number of ducks or they can practise animals replacing ducks for other animals they are studying. A nice activity to round the lesson off would be a debate about the opinion of pupils with regard to nursery rhymes. It can create a good atmosphere where students feel comfortable to share personal experiences and opinions.

It can be useful to teach verbs and animals too. The teacher can use other animals in order to teach verbs such as sleep, watch, jump, run and so on. The teacher also can encourage the students to make up their own nursery rhyme. Moreover, they can give their opinions and make their own suggestions.
