Before reading the story I would give students finger puppets for them to mime the story while I read it.

After reading the Story I stick pictures on the board, each of which represents different scenes of the tale. Children have to order the pictures according to what they think the correct sequence of the events is.
After reading this tale, I would encourage students to talk about their own granny´s and to make pictures of them to show to the rest of the class. If the class is reduced it will be funny to change the pictures and give each student a picture of another peer´s granny. The idea is for them to recognize the granny of each student.
